Shall

     "Shall" is used with first-person (I, We) to show the future tense. And when it is used with other

persons, they will show suggestions, willingness, authority, threat, permission, etc.

     "Shall" என்பது first person (I, We) உடன் உபயோகப்படும்போது எதிர்காலத்தை காட்டுகிறது, மற்ற persons உடன் பயன்படுத்தும்போது ஆலோசனை, விருப்பம், அதிகாரம், அச்சுறுத்தல், அனுமதி போன்ற மனநிலையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்.

examples :

1. Shall I come with Ram?

    நான் ராமுவுடன் வரலாமா?

    Yes, you shall come with Ram.

     ஆம், நீ ராமுவுடன் வரலாம்.

    No, you shall not come with Ram.

    இல்லை, நீ ராமுடன் வர முடியாது.

2. Shall I end the program?

    நான் நிகச்சியை முடிக்கலாமா?

    Yes, you shall end the program.

     ஆம், நீ நிகழ்ச்சியை முடிக்கலாம்.

    No, you shall not end the program.

    இல்லை, நீ நிகழ்ச்சியை முடிக்க கூடாது.

3. Shall I buy the vegetables?

    நான் காய்கறிகளை வாங்கலாமா?

    Yes, you shall buy vegetables.

     ஆம், நீ காய்க்கறிகளை வாங்கலாம்.

    No, you shall not buy the vegetables.

    இல்லை,நீ காய்க்கறிகளை  வாங்க கூடாது.

4. Shall I use your car?

    நான் உனது ஊர்தியைப் பயன்படுத்தலாமா?

    Yes, you shall use my car.

     ஆம், நீ என் ஊர்தியைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

     No, you shall not use my car.

     இல்லை, நீ என் ஊர்தியைப் பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது.

5. Shall I open the window?

     நான் ஜன்னலைத் திறக்கலாமா?

    Yes, you shall open the window.

     ஆம், நீ ஜன்னலத் திறக்கலாம்.

     No, you shall not open the window.

     இல்லை, நீ ஜன்னலைத் திறக்கக் கூடாது.

1. Shall we go to the theatre?

    நாம் திரை அரங்கத்திற்குப் போகலாமா?

    Yes, we shall go to the theatre.

     ஆம், நாம் திரை அரங்கத்திற்குப் போகலாம்.

    No, we shall not go to the theatre.

    இல்லை, நாம் திரை அரங்கத்திற்குப் போக முடியாது.
